Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series is coming to OnLive, with the 2012 iteration of the franchise just announced for the cloud-gaming service’s roster of titles. PES 2012 will be the first soccer title available for OnLive, allowing the trans-Atlantic service to become yet another forum in which people argue about whether the Beautiful Game should be referred to as “football” or “soccer.”
While no date’s been announced for the OnLive version of PES 2012 to go, um, live, it’s been priced at $39.95 (or £29.99, if you’re in the “football” camp) and confirmed to support both joypad and mouse/keyboard control. Potential OnLive players considering signing up after this news should know that putting down a preorder will qualify you for a free OnLive Game System – which is a pretty generous way to celebrate the launch of a platform first, no?
