Michael Fassbender launches Apple in new Steve Jobs trailer

A second trailer for Steve Jobs has arrived online, starring Michael Fassbender as the legendary Apple co-founder. According to writer Aaron Sorkin, the format for the film won’t hew to the typical biopic rise-to-fame plot. Instead it’s said to revolve around the event launches of three products, the Macintosh, the NeXt and the iMac.

The movie’s first teaser dropped back in May, and where that was a tad sparse on actual footage, this new preview offers a decent look at the Fass in action. Will he be painted as a saviour or tyrant? Check it out below…

By the looks of it, director Danny Boyle is aiming somewhere in between the two, getting a steely turn out of Fassbender as a man who’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders. Jeff Daniels, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen drop in for fleeting appearances as his colleagues, all of whom seem to have a love-hate relationship with the man. Expect some Oscar nods.

Steve Jobs opens in the US on October 9, 2015 followed by a UK release on November 13.
