You’d be forgiven for forgetting that a BioShock game was announced for Vita way back at E3 2011 when Sony’s portable was still known as NGP, but Irrational Games creative director and co-founder Ken Levine says he’s still pushing to get the project off the ground. Reiterating comments he made in February, when he said getting the project green-lit was down to the business people at publisher 2K Games and Sony, he told fans on Twitter this weekend:
RT @jamwa: @IGLevine What’s going on with the Vita project? –I talked to both Sony and 2k about it yesterday. Trying to make a match.July 13, 2013

Levine said in February of BioShock Vita: “I’ve got my fingers crossed that that’s going to happen because it’s something I want to do, but until somebody starts signing the cheques there’s nothing I can do… Hopefully it will come to fruition.” Levine has previously suggested that Irrational could outsource development of BioShock Vita. The studio is currently working on BioShock Infinite DLC.
