Hugh Jackman enjoys playing Wolverine, that much is clear. Having recently stated he’d be happy to keep donning the claws until he dies, Jackman has now told MTV (opens in new tab)that he’d be happy to make a cameo in the forthcoming Deadpool movie.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool first cropped up in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and while this next outing isn’t expected to follow on from that film at all, the characters do share plenty of crossover in the comic-books…
“They are definitely enemies in the comics and they always spark off well together so I’d be open to that idea,” said Jackman, before going on to assert that Reynolds will “nail” the title role.
While Fox might be keen to distance this film from Origins, we’d be surprised if a Jackman cameo wasn’t at least under consideration. It worked very nicely in X-Men: First Class after all…
Directed by Tim Miller and co-starring Morena Baccarin, Deadpool will open in the UK and US on 12 February 2016.
