The CW has dropped the first teaser for its forthcoming Arrow/The Flash spinoff DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow. The series hails from the creative talent behind both of the DC Comics adaptations, and assembles characters from each show to form a new superhero squad who must battle ancient villain, Vandal Savage.
This unique line-up includes comic fan favorites The Atom (Brandon Routh), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). In a case of back-from-the-dead plotting, Cathy Lotz returns as White Canary. Get an eyeful of the crew in action below:
Introducing Hawkgirl and the revived White Canary in dramatic fashion – behold the Lazarus Pit! – the entire roster are given a moment of showcase in CW’s typically quippy style. Throw in the time-travelin’ cock-a-ney Rip Hunter and there’s plenty here to please fans of the DC universe who need a dose of superhero ensemble action before the big screen Justice League movie arrives.
From Arrow / The Flash executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is set to premiere next year.
