Although its second season has only been airing for four weeks in the States, Being Human USA has already secured a third season, according to TVLine .
The US version of the cult British show has seen a significant increase in its audience of 15% in its second year (and an increase of 27% in the all-important, ad-targeted 18-49 age group). The latest episode was watched by 2.4 million viewers in total, which for Syfy is pretty bloody good.
“With the success of season two, Being Human has become a premier destination for Syfy viewers,” said network boss Mark Stern announcing the news. “[Showrunners] Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke have taken this series to new heights this year and we’re excited to see where the third season will go.”
While there’s been no announcement about the UK show yet, its hefty viewing figures for the series opener last Sunday, and the fact that show creator Toby Whithouse revealed on stage at the SFX Weekender that he’s already plotting out the fifth series, seems a promising indication that the original show’ll be around for a while yet.
