Latest SpiderMan Homecoming photo could be teasing a visit to the Avengers facility

Although Spider-Man: Homecoming (opens in new tab) will definitely be focusing on Tom Holland’s hero, the film will not be without its guest stars. We already know Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will have a sizeable role – and it was recently announced that Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan will be making a cameo (opens in new tab) – and now it looks like there’s a good chance these characters will be spending time at a familiar location.

Holland recently took to his Instagram account to share a photo of himself with co-star Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) and a friend at the Porsche facility in Atlanta, which happens to serve as a stand-in for the Avengers facility that’s been seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, and Captain America: Civil War. The pic is even captioned “The A-Team” for good measure.

The biggest question this photo brings to mind is whether we could be seeing more Avengers in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but this feels unlikely; Jon Watts’ film already has a hefty amount of characters and storylines to juggle without adding more cameos to the mix, and Vision and Rhodey’s absences during Peter Parker’s potential visit could be easily explained away (or not mentioned at all).

As for why Spider-Man is at the Avengers base in the first place, it’s likely that it has something to do with getting an upgrade from his new billionaire mentor. We’ll find out for sure next summer.

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Donald Glover, Bokeem Woodbine, and Zendaya, Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
