There are lots of Marvel’s Midnight Suns characters that are sure to please fans of the original 1990s comic and MCU enthusiasts. 12 heroes, including Doctor Strange, Blade, and the newly-revealed Spider-Man will be joining the Hunter to take on Lilith in Firaxis Games’ tactical RPG. Marvel’s Midnight Suns missions will see you playing as a squad of three heroes, each with their own unique cards and abilities for battling demons and iconic Marvel characters under Lilith’s possession. Here are all the Marvel’s Midnight Suns characters that we know of so far.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is quite different to the original incarnation of the 1990s Midnight Sons arc, where Doctor Strange brings together a band of supernatural characters to fight the forces of Lilith, Mother of Demons. Firaxis’ Midnight Suns game smashes together classic members of the supernatural group, MCU stars, and the X-Men to create a unique team. You can play as the new Hunter character and 12 other hero characters, although one remains unconfirmed:
- Spider-Man
- Scarlet Witch
- Captain America
- Captain Marvel
- Iron Man
- Dr. Strange
- Wolverine
- Ghost Rider
- Magik
- Blade
- Nico Minoru
The latest trailer also shows off a corrupted Hulk, who could be another potential Midnight Sun if he returns to his regular, non-demonic self during the story. We know that four more playable heroes will be added to Marvel’s Midnight Suns post-launch thanks to the premium Season Pass. This pass adds four content packs, each containing a new hero, missions, and more.
Who is the Hunter in Marvel’s Midnight Suns?
Marvel’s Midnight Suns introduces a bespoke character that Firaxis Games designed with Marvel – the Hunter – and they have been awakened by the other Midnight Suns to help in the battle against Lilith’s demon hordes. The Hunter is actually a child of Lilith that was laid to rest long ago, and they are fully customizable, both in terms of appearance and playstyle with a range of abilities to choose from.
The Hunter will also serve as the player character for wandering around the Abbey (the Midnight Suns’ base of operations) between missions. Here, you’ll be able to engage in the game’s RPG aspects of Marvel’s Midnight Suns by socializing with your team of heroes to build up your friendships.
The Villain of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Lilith, Mother of Demons
Of course, a Marvel game featuring this many heroes is going to need something like or even beyond an Avengers-level threat. Lilith, Mother of Demons, is the main antagonist in the supernatural world of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. She is the same demonic sorceress villain from the original 90s Midnight Sons story, but has been brought back by the evil exploits of Hydra.
With Lilith’s horde and Hydra’s army united, they certainly pose a dangerous threat to the world, and Lilith’s ability to possess and transform characters into demonic, fallen versions will be a key part of the story. As well as new and unexpected Midnight Suns, expect to see demon versions of fan-favourite Marvel villains and other characters. So far, we’ve seen:
- Venom
- Sabretooth
- Scarlet Witch
- Hulk
With the help of the Hunter, Marvel and Firaxis’ versions of the Midnight Suns will be banding together in a tactical-RPG to bring an end to Lilith’s invasion of Earth. Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches on October 7, 2022.
