Joss Whedons next project will be a new musical

Working on big franchise movies can be tough, and nobody knows this more than Joss Whedon. With his admittance that working on the incredibly successful Avengers: Age of Ultron “a little bit broke me” (opens in new tab), the geek extraordinaire has been enjoying a well deserved break, and now it looks like he’s ready to start working again, and according to Den of Geek (opens in new tab) it’s going to be a musical.

It won’t be Whedon’s first experiment with the musical genre as he directed a critically acclaimed musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer titled “Once More, With Feeling”. Plus, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog – which he financed himself and starred Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day – made quite the splash when it was released online in 2007.

In any case, it’s great to hear that Whedon is flexing his creative muscles once more, and hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to see the fruits of his latest labour.
