Ready for more futuristic cloak-and-dagger intrigue and adventure? Just want to stab a few more guys in the neck with an arm blade thingy? The wait is almost over for Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s first major expansion as Eido Montreal has confirmed via Tweet that ‘Missing Link’ will be available in North America on October 18th.
The DLC will retail at $14.99 for PS3 and PC, and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. In Europe, the release schedule is slightly different with PC and Xbox 360 users expected to see Missing Link on October 18th, while PS3 players will have to wait until October 19th to join the cool, augmented kids.
Missing Link is the first story DLC for Eidos’ action role playing game. In it, players will have to contend with Belltower agents aboard a freighter ship after being stripped of their augmentations. The add-on promises to dig deeper into the game’s conspiracy, introduce new key allies, and feature boss battles more in line with Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s gameplay style. In a chat with Eurogamer, production coordinator Marc-Andre Dufort explained: “We have a boss battle at the end, but it’s different from the main game boss battles. You can actually not kill the boss. You can do a non lethal takedown on him. And you can kill him from afar. You can even kill him without him seeing you. It’s more of a bigger challenge than a standard boss fight like we have in many games.”
