Dead Island is turning out to be a damn undead tease (yeah, we know that’s gross sounding). Okay, this trailer does occur in-game, in that it’s not a CG deal, so you can see what the island and a few of the zombies look like how they will when you play, but we don’t get to see any of the cool stuff we just played inyesterday’s preview, like seeing the vehicle driving, or knife-stabs to zombie faces, or hurling sickles at beefy boss zombies. We’re not sure why they’re not showing the action, because believe us, it looks great in motion, so they have nothing to hide. Anyway, we guess this will have to serve as an appetizer for the “real” trailer coming for E3. Sorry guys.
Still, you do get to see how nasty the zombies can look, with their detailed flayed flesh, and you get an idea of how pretty the island itself is. We’re not sure why there are so many random photographs of what look like to be no-name characters, but hey if you’re hungry for Dead Island anything, at least it’s something.
