Club Nintendo adds tons of games and goods in pre-shutdown update

Good news, Club Nintendo fans! No… sorry, still shutting down (opens in new tab). But almost as good! Nintendo of America has updated the catalog for its version of the reward service, letting you spend off all those remaining coins on dozens of reward items from physical goodies to Virtual Console classics to recent releases.

Physical rewards include a range of greeting cards to poster sets to a neato Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Messenger Bag, each of which will set you back 300, 700, or 800 coins respectively. Pretty cool, but also pretty standard fare for Club Nintendo loyalists.

Where it really gets interesting is the positively massive selection of download codes you can now get in exchange for those soon-to-be-useless coins. A few Wii U highlights include Super Mario World for 200 coins, EarthBound for 250, and The Wonderful 101 for 600.

3DS owners can snag The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for 200 coins, Super Mario 3D Land for 600, or Kid Icarus: Uprising for 700. I’d tell you to check the catalog yourself for the full selection, but the Club Nintendo site’s been straining ever since Nintendo made the update on Monday.

Thankfully there’s no need to rush, since you have until March 31 to make a profile, register games, and fill out surveys to earn coins. On the other hand, if those higher-end physical rewards are available in their typically limited quantities, they might not make it to the end of the day.
