Last Passenger review

Or Speed 3: Hastings Or Bust . This low-budget indie thriller sees Dougray Scott’s widowed doctor attempting to save his son and fellow passenger Sarah (winsome EastEnder Kara Tointon) as a madman cuts the brakes on their train.

As six commuters bicker and learn to work together, some overripe dialogue and a well-worn plot are tempered by an admirable reluctance to humanise the terrorist – he’s nothing more than a shadowy, random nutter, and all the scarier for it – concentrating instead on blossoming relationships and some consistently tense, explosive action.
