Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has shared a new set photo for the Baywatch film. Aside from showing off the principal cast in their iconic beach run, it also kind of looks like one of those Evolution of Man posters – if mankind evolved from bikini beach girl to curly haired polo shirt guy, taking a brief detour during the beefcake era.

Johnson was very upfront about the inspiration for this photo in his Facebook post.

The TV drama series adaptation has been in the works (opens in new tab) for a while, but it looks like it’s finally coming together. Or at least the slow-motion running scenes are, and we all know that’s the most important part.

Baywatch is directed by Seth Gordon, and it stars Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, and Zac Efron. It’s slated to hit theaters on May 19, 2017.
